8th Look Good Feel Good Award

Winner of the 8th ACA/PromoCon Look Good, Feel Good Award

The 25th ACA Conference at Telford International Centre, Telford saw the presentation of the 8th annual PromoCon/ACA ‘Look Good, Feel Good’ Award to Coloplast for Speedicath Compact.

The aim of this award is to encourage manufacturers to consider the appearance of products as well as their performance. Very often a person with bladder or bowel problems will dismiss a product purely on its appearance, without considering if that product would help them regain continence or manage their incontinence more effectively and enhance quality of life.

The winning product Speedicath Compact from Coloplast is an innovative intermittent catheter, the size of a lipstick and is tailor-made for today’s women.

Several judges commented on the innovative design of Speedicath Compact. It was thought that its size would make it a very discreet intermittent catheter, especially suitable for younger women who do not want to use a handbag. The rigid handle would make it particularly suitable for people with limited dexterity and the overall packaging did not have a clinical appearance.

Martin Benyon, Clinical Research Nurse, Coloplast stated, ‘ we are delighted to have won this very prestigious award and thank the judges involved for voting for Speedicath Compact. We are committed at Coloplast to working with end-users and professionals to develop innovative yet practical products, and we have seen in the short space of time since its launch the impact Speedicath Compact and the whole of the Speedicath range has made in improving people’s Quality of Life. This award gives us a very positive and clear message and re-enforces our drive to continue to deliver the best products to the continence care market.

Companies exhibiting products at the ACA Conference were invited to enter any product that had been launched since the previous conference. All products were judged by representatives from ACA, Continence Technology Group, Incontact and PromoCon.
