Continence Promotion in Schools PromoCon works to address continence difficulties in schools in the following ways 'NEW PUBLICATION' Managing Bowel and Bladder Problems in Schools and Early Year Settings The Good Practice guidelines have been written to help local authorities, schools, early year’s settings and health providers develop policies and procedures specific to local circumstances and children’s individual needs in relation to bladder and bowel problems and other toileting issues. Working in Schools We are working with schools to develop resources relating to children with wetting and soiling problems. Working with Children with Learning Disabilities PromoCon have developed a series of BAG BOOKS. These interactive storytelling resources encourage children to use the toilet. Working in Partnership Supporting the ‘Water is Cool in School’ Campaign (www.eric.org.uk– ERIC – Education & Resources for Improving Childhood Incontinence). Sharing Innovative Practice with regard to school toilets ‘The Bog Standard’ Campaign (www.eric.org.uk – ERIC – Education & Resources for Improving Childhood Incontinence). |
